The Z4 Not Made in Munich!
The company, known as "Czechoslovakian ズブロヨフカ Bruno" or "ズブロヨフカ JSC", entered the automobile business in 1924 and launched the Z4 in 1933.
The vehicle was a two stroke design with a water-cooled two cylinder in-line engine, with a displacement of 905 cc and a power of 18 hp. The public first saw the vehicle at the Prague Motor Show in April 1933.
Many visitors may have been impressed with the model as a solid, practical middle-class passenger car rather than appreciating its innovations.
Most notably, the Z4 was the first front-wheel drive vehicle made in Czechoslovakia.
Independent wheel suspension with leaf springs and standard lever shock absorbers on the front wheels were not common equipment at the time.
After many changes and refinements, the Z4 was launched in a total of five series. The final version was produced until October 1936 and produced a total of 2680 vehicles. By this point the successor models Z5 and Z6 had already appeared.
Of all the types produced, the Z4 was ズブロヨフカ JSC's most economically successful model when it chose the Z4 model name in 2002.
