Biography
Character Series / He was a Sengoku daimyo (Japanese territorial lord in the Sengoku period) who governed Echigo Province. After the death of his father Nagao Tamekage, he succeeded his older brother Harukage and entered Kasugayama Castle. He often dispatched troops to the Kanto region to help the Uesugi clan of the Kanto Kanrei (a shogunal deputy for the Kanto region), and he later gave up his family name and job. He fought against Shingen TAKEDA at Kawanakajima to advance to the Shinano area. He attacked Noto and defeated Nobunaga ODA. He died of illness just before leaving for the Kanto region. He drew out his life from letters issued by Kenshin and others, and studied the actual state of the governance of his territory, his faith and personality.
