[Comments on CD Audition]
Although Furtwangler plays musical instruments well and creates natural music that is typical of Menu-In, the sound itself lacks delicacy and it is regrettable that it can be heard roughly (partly because of the recording). The leisurely support of Furtwangler in his later years is impressive. I miss the jacket from the first appearance of LP.
[Comments on CD Audition]
Although Furtwangler is a unique great conductor and does not have a reputation for the background of the concerto, this "Emperor" is exceptional. It is probably the best recording for Ed Wynn Fischer.
