[CD-Audition comments]
This "Pathetic" became a hot topic as the first recording of the "manuscript version" (91) based on the theory that the tempo designation of the fourth movement was Andante in the composer's handwriting. The tempo is usually around ca. 50 in the performance. Rather, the beauty of the flowing is impressive. I would like to think of the 20-year-old time passed away. It is a memorial disc for Fedozeev's visit to Japan in 2012.
